ALERT - 001

Quarterly PM (planned maintenance) on the PRB’s four air handler units and six connected exhaust fans will be conducted by FOD on Wednesday, October 12, 2011.

Included in this maintenance cycle will be replacement of the large bank of bag filters on the inlet to AHU-1 and AHU-2.

Also included in this maintenance cycle will be a test of the Emergency Generator and Automatic Transfer Switches.

Maintenance is scheduled to start at 7:00 AM and is planned to be completed by no later than 3:00 PM.

Because the lab side air handlers and connected exhaust fans will be shut down, fume hood operations should be suspended for the full maintenance period.

Occupants are reminded that although the building will remain open and accessible, air flows and other air-related building processes will be impacted throughout the day as maintenance is done.

Occupants may note this as the last planned maintenance outage for calendar year 2011.

Please take planned action to prepare for this event.

- Air handler / Exhaust Fan shut down Wednesday, October 12th.
